Couple of things

You marked your post as 'solved' so we get a nice green arrow meaning 'no question to answer'...you may want to kill that setting.

Second, the link you followed is way to new. How about a post from 1998?

I'm not sure if that code will actually work any more; it uses the Pivot Table Wizard function for a really old version of Excel. In any case, there are tons of posts describing different ways to do pivot tables; you may want to poke around at some different methods to see if you can find something that works better.

Also, if you're going to be doing much of this, you may want to think about using a 3rd party tool like Integra4Notes; it makes the process really easy and allows you to build both ad hoc and scheduled reports. It's a great tool and well worth the cost.
